Excellent rod for the price. So far Ive had zero issues and it works just as well as the trolling rods Ive paid twice as much for. Highly recommend.

I have been using the 8'6" telescoping version for around 9-10 years for pulling boards for striped bass on fresh water lakes. Best was a 32 lb. striper and a 45 lb. blue catfish (by-catch while trolling live bait). I have never broken a rod and I'm rough on them. Only complaints I have are that they changed the color of the outer paint or finish over the years and that finish quality. They used to be green and the last ones I bought were more brown or gold. The finish also is flaking/peeling off on the rods, but of course it doesn't affect their performance. Still, I love these rods and own 20 of them, but regularly use 14. The length gives me the leverage I need and the medium action is firm enough to set the hook with a proper drag setting, but soft enough to not rip the hook out on a strike. I'd give these rods a 5 if the finish wasn't peeling, but overall, I'm very satisfied. The price point, even though it's gone up about 50% over the years, is still below other similar rods.
