Received the rods the same day as a planned trip, so I took one with me. Even though these are sold as walleye rods, they are excellent light/mid bass rods. I fish for Shoal Bass, and these rods are very sensitive yet have good backbone for larger size fish. The only negative I could give about this rod is that the tip action is a little lighter than I'm used to, but that's not a big deal. Greta rod overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

No surprise, it feels like a walleye rod made by bass specialists but you get used to it and learn to like it. My only complaint is that the portion of the handle that tightens down on the reel is in front of the reel. If you're right handed, and you're retrieving a crank or snap jigging the torque in your hand inadvertently loosens the reel seat. No biggy, but still a nuisance and there's better designs. One other thing folks should be aware of is that the last few eyelets are frickin' tiny. I generally run a short leader, so the knot isn't an issue, but it might be for someone using longer leaders or looking to slip bobber with one of these. Review is probably a moot point as it looks like they've been discontinued anyway.
