Product Details

P-Line Tactical Fluorocarbon Line gives anglers chasing bass, trout, and other hard-fighting fish the invisibility and toughness needed when fishing pressured waters or finicky fish in clear streams. Made with innovations in raw materials and extrusion, the line offers outstanding abrasion resistance and durability. Tests show it holds strong knots even under heavy strain. Low memory allows long, accurate casts and smooth retrievals. Available in clear color, in tests from 6-25 lb. Spools come in 200-yard or 1,000-yard sizes for mainline or backup spools.

  • Abrasion-resistant, high-strength raw material and extrusion boosts line toughness
  • Clear presentation with extreme invisibility underwater
  • Long casts with low memory to minimize line memory issues on spinning or baitcasting gear
  • Quantity per pack: 1

    Terrible breaking...

Tied several different and this line does not hold. It’s brittle and knots break very much less than it’s rated for.

I just bought two spools of six pound test and two of the eight pound test for walleye fishing. After catching a few small fish line want to wrap around the tip of my pole. I also had a hard time making several different knots to stay and when I did the line would break with a small pull to set the knot. First walleye of the year about six pounder just got the net out and knot slipped through, so don't waste your money or time.

In my previous review I only gave it 2stars because of excess what I called curling and weakness after catching a few fish. Well after the review I found the glass was missing from the rod tip eye. Was lucky my line hadn't been cut. Repaired the eye,the line is now what I expected of it - a good product.

It may be because it was fresh line but this lasted and kept it's strength. I made 4 trips to the lake with the same line on the spool. I caught over 70 Yellow Perch and 5 Lake Trout with the same line. One Lake Trout was 23 inches, and the others were 20 to 16 inches. I did not re tie as often as I usually do. I have tried many fluorocarbons cheap and expensive. This was most manageable for me. I was using a 3000 spinning reel and a light action rod 7ft2" rated for4 to 8 lb line. When I spool my line I put a bolt through the line spool and stick the end of the bolt in a vise. Then I tie to the reel and crank it on snugly.

Take the good with the bad

The line coils up and flies off of the reel and keeps the memory of the reel spool during the drift. Caught an 8+ pound rainbow and pulled in many snags on 6 pound test.
