I've been using 15 or 20 pound P-Line fluorocarbon leader material for many years. A short section of it prevents bite offs from pike and does not interfere with the presentation.

This is a great product. It has increased my hookup rate tremendously for finicky summer steelhead in low clear water conditions. My only gripe would be i wished they sold a bigger spool of it.
