Premium IM8 blanks display the perfect balance between backbone and a light, fast tip that is astoundingly sensitive and strong to haul big crappies out of their deepest cover lairs. Crappie fishing devotee Wally Marshall designs the Classic Series with Team Lew's engineering specialists and calls the spinning reels a workhorse. The models 7 feet and under are made for dock shooting at close range and the longer ones lean more toward traditional casting and targeting cover and laydowns. Each in the rod series features stainless steel guides and inserts as well as lightweight graphite reel seats. You're going to get maximum reliability and added sensitivity with these components.     I owned this rod for a few years and was very happy with it until the rod broke. I ordered one from Fish USA and unfortunately, the tip broke via shipping. Contacted Fish USA and they sent me a replacement rod. Used the new rod on my next fishing trip and caught two crappies. Doing great! However, I snagged on a brush pile and while in the process of pulling the hook out, the rod tip broke! Bad experience with this rod; I'm thinking that the tip is way too fragile. Buyer beware.

    Bought the 76 rod. Moderate action has a lot of flex. Can cast light lures far. After unwrapping caught fish the next day.
