What an incredible auger!
My 18 volt drill with this auger blew through 10” of ice with no issues. Way faster than the gas powered augers other ice anglers were using.
Solid performing auger
Bought this last year and it is a beast. I cut through 15 inches of ice in no time. Drilled over 500 holes last year and it never slowed down or dulled the blade. I definitely recommend this auger.
So far so good...

Got at the end of the season after running over my 8" steel auger. Mounted on my 40V Lithium and it drills super fast as you would expect plus a huge weight drop! So far none of the issues reported on some previous reviews, but only have about 40 holes drilled so far. Time will tell but love it for now.
The plastic housing that holds the blades broke on the second hole I drilled. Contacted Strikemaster and they sent a shipping label so I could send it to them. Going back to my strikemaster laser auger with the Milwaukee M18.
Have used on several outings, and not pleased with having to constantly tighten up the bolt and set screw that holds the chuck adapter to the shaft. Seems like about every 3-4 holes it loosens up on 6" thick ice.
It does cut the ice well though.
