The St. Croix Avid Trek Spinning Rod sacrifices nothing to give you the best in performance and versatility! This rod is made on a durable and premium high-modulus SCIII carbon blank. The blank is designed with St. Croix’s famous Integrated Poly Curve (IPC) mandrel technology, which eliminates transitional points in the blank. This advanced reinforcing technology allows the rods to have smoother actions, increased strength, and even higher sensitivity. The smooth Sea Guide Hero Hi-Grade guides with zirconia rings and SS316 stainless steel frames are reinforced for power, but also allow the line to smoothly run through them, reducing any line friction. Outfitted with a Sea Guide hook keeper, a Fuji DPS reel seat, and a comfortable select-grade cork handle, this rod is truly designed for your comfort! Ratings & Reviews
Horrible Quality Easily Breaks
In 4 months I have gone through 4 avid trek 3 piece rods. I love that they pack down easy to hike into the river. But as far as quality goes I would advise anyone to avoid this rod. I have had 4 rods break at the tip on the eyelid joint. Each rod lasted about one month if I was lucky. For the price of this rod I would reccomend you avoid it or you will be dissatisfied just like I was with a broken tip on the river. Ontop of that the so called 15 year warranty means nothing because they charge you $50 dollars plus shipping to replace the top piece of the 3 piece rod that keeps snapping. I have owed St Croix rods my whole life never had a problem but this avid trek 3 piece is by far the worst quality rod I have ever seen them make do yourself a favor and don't buy this unless you like dealing with warranty claims over and over again.
