Packaging was good on rod that’s why I am thinking cheap eyelets. But the rod is cheap enough to replace. I would recommend buying on price point alone

    I put an Okuma Convector Line Counter Reel on this rod and it worked great on a planer board for catching Atlantic Salmon in our Great State of Michigan. For the money I will buy it again.

    I feel that this is the ultimate planer board Rod available. Either trolling for salmon or walleye this rod has enough backbone to pull the boards and soft enough to fight the fish.
