Heavy for what it is
by Rob brown
I have been using the IM8 13' rod with fixed reel seat and sliding rings for 2 years now. Personally I like the sliding rings better on this particular rod, I find the fixed reel seat makes this rod quite heavy. If it was a tad bit lighter it would be an amazing rod but it is quite heavy.
Made in China!?
by Tony V
Oh, the feeling of spending $350 on a darn fishin' pole only to find a MADE IN CHINA sticker on the rod butt. Beautiful rod...(14ft fixed seat) but why does it cost so much if it's being made overseas?!? It's not just Raven, but I was really expecting a non-sweat shop built rod for the price.... I'm sure it will fish fine once they hit the local rivers in a few weeks. Looks great with my 5" Matrix SE C/P reel.

Have had this rod for a year now in the 15ft
and couldn't be more happier on how well it performs.
Outstanding Steelhead Rod

I have had my Raven IM8 14' centerpin for a month now and I couldn't be more happier with it's preformance. The extra length allows for better line control and strong hook sets.
