Built for saltwater anglers who demand toughness and refined performance, the PENN Slammer IV DX Spinning Reel upgrades the proven Slammer IV platform with enhanced internal components and premium finishes. The full metal body and sideplate provide a rigid foundation, while CNC Gear Technology drives stainless steel main and pinion gears for long-term durability under heavy loads. An IPX6 sealed body and spool design keeps water out in rough conditions, and the Sealed Slammer Drag System with Dura-Drag features dual bearing support on sizes 3500–8500 for smoother startup and improved drag stability. The 2500 size uses HT-100 carbon fiber drag washers for lightweight power. A 9+1 stainless steel bearing system, including a hydrophobic line roller bearing, ensures consistently smooth operation, and every model comes with a spare Hypalon handle knob for added grip in wet environments.
