    We use CV30DS models spooled with 30lb mono for muskie trolling on lake St. Clair and have had no problems at all with them. They have a nice drag system and are a great value.

    It's hard to find a reel to hold enough lead core line and be paired with a light rod to fish those mid season Trout . This reel does a pretty good job of it . The CV-30 will hold 10 colors of 36 pound lead core and is a great bang for the buck!!

    I find the Convectors to have a good value to quality ratio in the mid-priced reels. I run 10 of the convectors on our salmon boat spooled for dipsy, leadcores, and coppers. The high speed return gearing work well for the longer leadcores and coppers. I would recommend these reels if you are looking for a quality reel without spending more than $100. The quality of the Convectors together with FishUSA's excellent customer service makes this a winning combination.

    I've been using connectors in every size for salmon, lakers, Browns, walleye, striped bass for 15 yrs now. Never had a failure and I fish 2-3 times a week. If you need parts it's tough, you have to find them online. No complaints from me
