Best Centerpin I've Used

by

Bought a Kingpin Zeppelin used, in excellent/mint condition (still not cheap), but this is the best CP reel I've ever used. Tried Raven, Okuma, Islander, and a few others in the past but this one definitely stands out. I typically run about 3/8 oz of total weight under my float and this reel starts up almost effortlessly and runs very smoothly. Paired this reel with a Lamiglass Closer and couldn't be happier. I have the older version of this reel with the clicker switch on the back plate as opposed to the current model with the switch along the back edge of the reel. I would prefer the current model but cannot justify buying another one as much as I'd like to. If you're looking for a great reel that'll last you the rest of your life and can afford it, you can't go wrong with a Zeppelin.
