- Redesigned big water trolling rods
- Developed with input from "Fishing 411" TV hosts Mark and Jake Romanack
- Composite and glass composite construction
- Rod holder friendly
- Starfire X series rods:
- Bottom Bouncer (SFXB86MMFT) – The 8'6" rod has a moderate fast action with a soft tip, ideal for detecting bites without alerting fish. Its composite construction is highly sensitive for using 1-4 oz bottom bouncers with spinner, slow revolve, and blade rigs. The hybrid cork/EVA foam grip is comfortable, whether holding the rod or in a holder.
- Planer Board Rods (SFXP76MHMFT, SFXP86MMFT) Come in 7'6" and 8'6" lengths. They have a forgiving tip and enough backbone to handle heavy in-line planer boards and resistance from deep-diving crankbaits, snap weights, and other trolling gear. The composite construction balances sensitivity and durability.
- Downrigger Rods (SFX400-76, SFXD8MM2, SFX400A-86) – These fishing rods are available in 7'6", 8', and 8'6" lengths, with a forgiving moderate action and rugged glass construction. X-Wrap EVA grips and no-spin foregrip provide excellent ergonomics and comfort. Ideal for various trolling applications to subdue even the most stubborn fish.
- Diver/Lead Core/Wire Rods (SFXDL9MHMST, SFX403-10) – Diver rods are available at 9 and 10-foot lengths, with a moderate slow action. They're great for fishing standard or magnum-sized divers and lead core, and have heavy-duty stainless steel guides for abrasive copper wire. The 9-foot model has a telescopic design for easy storage.
- Transom Troller (SFXL6HM2) – The 6' transom rod is designed as a bonus rod for the back of the boat. Its short length makes it nimble and ideal for trolling and deep-water jigging.
