    I Purchased, the Douglas LRS Fly ride six months ago. I accidentally broke the rod tip so I went through the Douglas website to order a new tip. A few days after paying $65, which included $20 for shipping, I called and they said that it would be shipped out within 24 hours. after several weeks, I started calling them and no one would answer. I don’t even know if they are still in business. I’ve left a multitude of messages with no response. If you expect any acceptable level of Customer Service, do not buy from this company.

    It's a good rod but the 10' 8 wt is shown everywhere with cork fighting butt and switch handle to screw on that would match the handle. I've never seen an ad or anything with a cheap a$$ eva foam fighting butt and switch handle but that's what you actually get. I feel like it's deceptive on Douglas's behalf and wouldn't have bought the rod had I known, yes it's that cheesy. Terrible cost cut from Douglas

    After fishing the salmon river with a friend of mine in October, we were packing up and I noticed his Fly rod was only 2 pieces. He explained he got it after advise from staff at Fat Nancy's. Inexpensive but strong! I looked it up when I got home and Bought an 8# 10' from Fish USA. It was delivered in 2 days! Great rod for Salmon & Steelhead.
