    These are great quality rods for the price. Solid, strong, sensitive, and all around good quality components. I have the 7’3” mag heavy, paired with a Lews Super Duty reel, and is the best frog set up I’ve ever used. I wanted to try these Fury rods for flipping and pitching heavy jigs in thick weeds so I paired my 7’3” mag heavy with a 10:5 Kastking Speed Demon reel and tested it out doing some heavy jig fishing and it was exactly the power I was looking for. That said, every rod manufacturer rates their rods power differently. Typically I would want a 7’6” medium/heavy to heavy rod for flipping 3/4oz to 1oz weights. I was considering the 7’6” med/heavy Fury, but the 7’3” Mag heavy Fury is more what I would consider medium/heavy, especially in the shorter 7’3”. Wish they made the mag heavy in a 7’6” model. Im afraid the 7’6” medium/heavy Fury won’t be heavy enough. So don’t be turned off by the mag heavy power rating for flipping. Hope this helps.

    Really enjoyed this rod so far, it has a great power to sensitivity ration. 1st one was delivered broke in half by us mail, but FishUSA made it right, kudos to the customer service.

    Just picked a 735c for frogging and flipping. Great backbone for the price. Doesn’t feel over the top heavy either considering it’s a mag. Also have a 733c for everyday use. The Fury’s are solid.
