nice travel rod

by -

I bought the 6' 6" 4 piece and used it for the first time yesterday. I was looking for some thing just a little stiffer than the Shakespeare Wild Series and this one's great. A hair stiff for bait but great for 1/16-3/16 spoons and spinners.

Daiwa as always on top !!

I bought the 7'0 "rod, the rod works very well despite the fact that it consists of four parts, very light, comfortable handle. I am very pleased with the purchase!

a little stiff for the lure weight it's supposed to cast

I find it a little stiff for the lure weight it's supposed to cast, the 5'6'' version can easily cast up to 1/2 oz. The 7'0'' version feels a lot longer since the butt of the rod is very short (a little more than an inch bigger than the butt of the 5'6'') Overall it feels solid, the pieces fit well and don't seem to become loose after many casts. Being a 4 piece rod it's awesome for strapping to the side of a backpack and hike to a remote fishing spot.

I bought the 6' 0" 1/32-1/8 oz travel Spinmatic D and have used it a few times. Sweet rod for trout on lures! Works great on lakes with the smaller Thomas spoons. Nice compliment to the 6' 6" for the larger Thomas spoons like the Buoyant.
