Sadly, since Rapala took over production of this perennial favourite the quality of finish has severely declined. The dull matt finish leaves a lot to be desired and affords little (no) protection to the paint finish and longevity of the lure. While some colour models have maintained the clear gloss finish (which obviously helps to preserve the original colour) at least 50% of them now have no clear coat which just makes it look like a half-assed effort in production. The 'fluro' colours are about as 'fluro' as a polar bear on a snow storm. Unfortunately, the decision to use steel bearings in the rattle has also changed the performance of the lure and definitely is not as productive as the original subtle lead rattle. Way to go Rapala....how to wreck a once excellent lure in one foul swoop!!!

A deep running, loud rattles, good hooks (hit the hooks lightly with a file to make them "sticky" sharp) that catches fish - BIG fish!

Used the original wiggle warts for years but really like the bigger Mag Wart for larger species. BIGGER AND BETTER...Superb Action in the water and a must have for the tackle box. !!
