Product Details

The StrikeMaster Lazer Hand Ice Auger lets hardwater anglers cut clean, fast holes through thick ice with minimal effort. Featuring razor-sharp Chrome Alloy stainless steel blades and a powder-coated auger unit that prevents ice build-up, it slices through both fresh and re-frozen holes with unmatched ease—perfect for anglers chasing walleye, pike, and perch across frozen lakes. The ergonomic, telescoping handle adjusts from 48 to 57 inches for optimal comfort and leverage, while soft rubber grips on both handles reduce strain during long days on the ice. Go the 8", on the second day out the black part of the knob on the handle split apart and broke off. It made it through maybe 15 holes. If your auger does something similar they will not help you, they'll say to go through the manufacturer, so honestly if you're thinking about this one or the $50 one save your money they are probably similar quality.

I have read all of the great reviews on the Nils Master and decided to order one. It worked great for about 10 holes and it stopped cutting for me. The cutting edge angle moved, probably due to improper treated steel. I was so mad as it took me 1 hour to cut my last hole and then it just won't work anymore. I finally return it and bought the Lazer for half the price and I cannot be any happier. Not only did it perform faultlessly, the blades are stainless steel so I don't have to dry and oil it after everytime I use it. The attachment screw locks the two pieces together really well and does not come loose during use. Also, the blade guard was much easier to put on and take off.
