The Okuma StormRunner Spinning Reel series is exclusive to FishUSA. The six reels in this Okuma Fishing Tackle lineup range from a nimble 1000 size answering the light tackle call for panfish, perch, or small trout to the medium-size Okuma 4000 spinning reel suited for most soft plastic rigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and jerkbaits used when targeting bass. Every StormRunner Spinning Reel includes a spare aluminum spool for quick line changes on the water.


StormRunner Spinning Reels utilize Flite Shaft technology, a patented hollow stainless steel spool shaft with precision SUS balls pressed on each end. The rotating stainless steel balls at each end reduce friction and increase casting distance. Flite Shaft gives the Okuma StormRunner Spinning Reels the perfect equity of weight, strength, and smoothness.

    Had the opportunity to get this reel on the water and it performed very well. I purchased the 3000 model,spooled it with 6lb Seaguar red label and paired it with a Mustad instinct med,lt. The reel is a great out the box the line laid evenly on the spool didn't have to add or remove washers,nice drag and very smooth retrieve.

    Bought this reel 3 wks ago used it twice second time out line tangled under spool when I took the spool off the spring for the drag clicker was missing contacted fishusa they said contact Okuma tried to order parts from Okuma and when you put the model number in on Okumas website it doesn’t come up with this reel it’s like they never made it

    Looks nice, Feels Nice, She's tight! Going to try her on one of my ultra light rods for trout and see if the quality can handle a larger fish like bass. Always fun to fight the bigger fish with a smaller setup. Makes for a fun challenge. (Four because i haven't used it yet.)

    I got the 1000 model to use on ultra lite crappie setup. When I take in line, the reel places it under the spool causing a huge mess. I have tried using the reel twice since owning and it has caused this malfunction 3 times. Had to cut the line out
