The Okuma StormRunner Spinning Reel series is exclusive to FishUSA. The six reels in this Okuma Fishing Tackle lineup range from a nimble 1000 size answering the light tackle call for panfish, perch, or small trout to the medium-size Okuma 4000 spinning reel suited for most soft plastic rigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and jerkbaits used when targeting bass. Every StormRunner Spinning Reel includes a spare aluminum spool for quick line changes on the water.


StormRunner Spinning Reels utilize Flite Shaft technology, a patented hollow stainless steel spool shaft with precision SUS balls pressed on each end. The rotating stainless steel balls at each end reduce friction and increase casting distance. Flite Shaft gives the Okuma StormRunner Spinning Reels the perfect equity of weight, strength, and smoothness.

    These reels are good quality and a good price. I have 4 of them 2 of the 3000 models I use on my ultralight rods and 2 of the 4000 models I use on a medium heavy salmon rod. All have preformed flawlessly. They cast great even with light tackle. The drags are smooth and I really like the loud audible click you hear while advancing the drag. The reel is super smooth and silent while retrieving. Really like the cork on the handle end as it doesn't get slippery when it gets wet. One of the few reels that still comes with an extra spool as well. Like the neoprene case too as you can also use it to cover the reel while it is still attached to a rod.
