    I have steelhead fished with this rod now on 4 occasions. Very sensitive to detect the light bites. What I really love is it's light weight. After shoulder surgery I had now idea that a couple ounces can make in a day of casting. Just wish it had a smidgen more backbone. Might be hard to turn a bigger hot fish in current.

    Bought this rod for throwing bigger baits, like jerkbaits, poppers, and metal jigs, in the surf. Can't say enough good things about this rod. Paired it with a Cadence Stout 4000 filled with 20# Yo-Zuri Super Braid and a 20# HD Carbon leader. Getting 20-25 yards further with the metal and 10-15 yards more with the plastic. It's extremely sensitive ... I can feel every wobble and shimmy of the baits, and even the smallest of bites from fish. Very lightweight, yet strong ... plenty of backbone to handle anything you might run into. Great value for the price! Next purchase will be a LX86MS for throwing C-rigs and smaller baits from the sand. I'll report back.
