I often hike along rivers and tribs in winter for steelhead and browns. I stopped carrying a net due to hang ups on brush/tees and lost a good number of fish as a result. This net is perfect. Folds into a compact unit, easy to cary, long extendable hande makes reaching down a snow/ice covered bank easy. Folding mechanism still worked and did not freeze up even in single digit temps. Only had it a couple of months so can't speak to long term durability but looks really good so far.

We live in the south (TN) and the recent weather has been so bad that I haven't had a chance to use the net yet. This purchase was to replace a similar net I'd had for nearly 30 years and had lost in rough weather during a tournament. Even though I haven't actually had the net in the water yet, I couldn't be happier with it. It folds down to a very manageable size and appears to be durable and well constructed. All I need now is for the weather to be nice long enough for me to try it out!
