Down-East Rod Holders offer quality all-metal, made in the U.S.A. construction. These rod holders can be used with spinning, casting and fly rods and offer several horizontal and vertical mounting positions. Down-East Rod Holders are durable in even the coldest weather. Down-East Rod Holders are rated for light to moderate fishing of fish up to 25 pounds and for use with line up to 30 pound test. When a fish strikes, simply lift the rod straight up out of the rod holder. The are no releases to unclip or undo. These rods holders feature adjustability in any horizontal or vertical direction and can be used on a variety of mounting systems to fit any boat making these extremely versitile. We offer the D-10 "Down-Easter" Clamp Mount model and the D-11 Inboard Bracket Mount model.

1st experience with them was on a guided walleye trolling trip on Lake Vermilion with the Spring Bay Resort guide. After using them on that trip, I decided to purchase 4 of them for my boat. Can't wait to mount on my boat and try them out for the 1st time in late May on the Whitefish Chain in Mn.

I needed a solid, wide opening holder to use with my fishing boat and this is exactly what would fit there. Greatly appreciated the simple and efficient design, very good looking.

I now own three of them for trolling in a canoe. Helps keeps hands free, and canoe uncluttered when paddling or landing fish. Easy to use. No brainer.
