    Great rod for the price. Fished with them several times now, sensitive, strong and easy casting. I have the 8'6" M and ML rods, and use them for fishing for walleye in the river. Haven't caught a walleye yet with them, but have caught white bass, kentucky bass, and a stripper.

    I have recently purchased 5 of these rods. 4 spinning and one casting. While I am a fan of Top-of-the -Line rods, I have had more satisfaction from the quality, action, utility and price of the 5 Diawas than what I would get from 2-3 times the cost of one very expensive rod. Good actions, dampen well , make for smooth casting. Cushioned Stainless reel seats. Two of the Spinners, a 9'6" 6-12# and a 9'6" 8-17# have 20+ fish between them.. 6-12 #s. Few days back, broke off a fish headed into a fallen tree. 17# test fresh line broke: rod is fine.

    Replaced my 35 year old Fenwick 8' 3" medium heavy with the Acculite 8'6" medium heavy model so I could use braided line for Lake trout at the Quabbin and Wachusett reservoirs here in Massachusetts. This is the first Daiwa rod I have purchased and I could not be happier. Very light and strong rod that generates smooth, long casts. Feels like an ultralight compared to my old Fenwick and with much faster action.

    Was looking for a rod with a little flex in the tip to cast Little Cleo spoons and Husky Jerks from shore for Steelhead and Walleye. It needed to be long, light weight, and still have the backbone to handle big fish. I also wanted something that was fairly inexpensive. This rod meets those needs perfectly.
