I've been using standard Wally Divers for decades. VERY rarely have one out of tune, and they continue to be a top producer either trolled or cast. I've tried to find more consistent baits, but after all these years, Wally Divers are still my "go to" bait.

I was for a long time a deep-diving crankbait sceptic - my observation being that in their engineering, 'deep-diving' was prioritized over realistic strike attraction action for most of this type of lure, resulting in lures that got down deep but once down weren't very attractive to fish. However, my recent experiences have changed my mind - the Cordell Wally Diver is a good compromise between diving and action - it levels out at its prescribed dive depth and takes a killer wobble. Fished to bump bottom occasionally it gets Walleye cast or trolled, and seems to be very snag resistant on rough bottoms. ALSO, compared to other similar well-designed crankbaits (e.g., Rapala Shad Rap, Rapala Deep Tail-Dancer) the Cordell unit is much more affordable - you can get three Wally Divers for the cost of one or two Rapalas. The Cordell lure is not without faults - the paint finish is on the surface of the plastic shell and is prone to chipping and scratches. Nevertheless, highly recommended.

I typically troll with these for walleye but they catch bass, trout and crappie as well. It's a great lure for the price and every fisherman should have a few of these in their tackle box.
