The HXJ pairs a 5.4:1 high gear with a 2.4:1 low gear, retrieving 47 inches per crank in high and 21 inches per crank in low for quick resets, deep drops, live bait, and stubborn fish below the boat. Its lever drag system offers an adjustable strike preset with about 22 lb. at strike and 28 lb. at full, giving anglers controlled pressure without fumbling through star drag adjustments.

A precision-machined 6061-T6 marine-grade aluminum frame, stainless steel components, stainless steel gears, and anodized finish help the Avet HXJ handle demanding saltwater use while keeping weight around 25 to 26 oz.
