I called this jig the umbrella jig. I prefer to use the blue pearl color. I've caught a lot of big crappie on this particular jig. Big crappie cannot resist the action of this particular jig.

These are fantastic as added attractors to long-shank walleye jigs. I use them to dress up a plain jig-n-bait combo for fishing walleye on my local river, where the water is stained and the added color/skirt helps. They are the perfect length so as not to hide the minnow/leach/worm. Yet the body is plump enough to thread easily.
