Position Details

FishUSA, Inc. (www.fishusa.com), headquartered near Erie, Pa., is a massive, industry-leading, online fishing and tackle retailer, dedicated to customer service and timely delivery of packages throughout the world. We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic, organized, and dedicated Warehouse Supervisor for our Warehouse Fulfillment Center located in Fairview, Pennsylvania.

The Warehouse Supervisor will assist the Warehouse Manager and the Warehouse Assistant Managers in overseeing the operations of our warehouse fulfillment center, which includes stocking inventory, picking and preparing orders for shipment, receiving and the put away of new product, shipping orders to our customers, training new and current warehouse team members, and the general supervision of our warehouse fulfillment center staff and the managing of the flow of orders.

The successful applicant will regularly interact and collaborate with the Management Team throughout FishUSA and will play a lead role in FishUSA’s continuous improvement efforts to serve our growing customer base of enthusiastic anglers. The successful applicant will readily accept coaching and development from the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Assistant Managers will be open to learning new supervisor techniques and skills.

The qualified candidate will have proven supervisory experience (preferably in a warehouse setting) and will demonstrate and model exceptional productivity in all warehouse functional areas. They will also be an excellent motivator and coach, and will be willing to invest the time necessary to fully understand and document improvement opportunities in key areas across the warehouse.

The required qualifications will include:

  • Strong managerial, leadership, motivation, and communication skills with all employees including excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to perform as a strong liaison between the Warehouse Fulfillment Center and all other FishUSA departments.
  • Experience with best practices for various warehouse processes and inventory management with the ability to recommend changes and improvements to current processes, software, or inventory locations.
  • Readily adaptable to various changes and to successfully implement any approved changes or innovations with timely execution.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills including the ability to quickly identify obstacles that may affect the flow of orders and implement solutions to overcome those obstacles.
  • Strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for warehouse processes and using those indicators to establish goals for employees.
  • Monitoring employee performance to ensure that proper order flow is maintained throughout the day and providing employees with routine feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Providing routine updates on warehouse safety protocols, and providing input to the FishUSA Safety Committee.

Additional qualifications or skills that would be beneficial:

  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse manager or supervisory role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google for Business software applications.
  • Educational or practical experience in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with USPS, FedEx, UPS, and LTL shipping processes and procedures.
  • Online retail experience.

To meet our commitment to excellent customer service, our Warehouse Fulfillment Center operates up to seven days a week. This is an hourly position that requires work Monday through Friday and occasional work on the weekends.
