Purchased one of these after several night Crappie fishing trips where the actual count was way higher than the "clicker" count. I mounted it to a piece of plywood that locks into place on the top of a cooler. Several coats of enamel on the plywood and it was good to go. It works perfectly and the count is always accurate. No problems taking 13" and 14" Crappies. I am on my third season, over 2,000 fish with no problems. I wash mine after every trip. It does get bloody and messy, but cleans easily with dish soap & water.
