The Big Jon Side-Liner In-Line Planer Board is considered by many as the best in-line planer board on the market. This board attaches directly to your line and will track away from the boat to distances between 10 and 50 yards, depending on your preference. The Side-Liner can also be used on either side of the boat and performs equally well in calm or rough water conditions.

    I use the planer boards for striped bass fishing in fresh water. In the spring when fish are shallow you work the banks in one direction and then reverse direction by flipping the boards instead of using left & right hand boards.
