Product Details

The TackleWorkz Donkey Leash is a reliable fish lanyard designed specifically for kayak and float tube anglers who need a secure, hands-free way to manage their catch. Built from coated stainless steel wire, it provides exceptional strength and durability while maintaining a lightweight, easy-to-handle design. Instead of piercing or harming the fish, the puncture-free Cal Coast-style clip locks firmly onto the jaw to keep fish secure and in place. A riveted looped end ensures the leash will never come undone and attaches quickly to most kayak or float tube anchor points. At 4 feet in length, the Donkey Leash gives anglers peace of mind when reaching for a measuring board, camera, or gear, ensuring your catch stays safe and under control.

  • 4 ft. coated stainless steel wire for strength and durability
  • Designed for kayak and float tube fishing
  • Puncture-free clip secures to the fish’s jaw without causing harm
  • Riveted looped end for dependable attachment to anchor points
  • Keeps fish secure while anglers prepare measuring or photo gear

I saw lost fish on some of the other reviews, I lost the first fish I ever put on it, user error, didn't get it clipped down, since then I have not lost a single fish and it works great for putting the fish in the water while you get your board and phone ready for a tourney pic. I did 4 stars as over time it the "slinky" part has twisted and gotten tangled. I liked it enough that I bought another for my new kayak.

First time using it on a fish with some size, I clipped it down all the way and past the thick part of the lip. The fish shook off between getting the weight and getting length and pictures for tournament entry. I'm extremely disappointed in this product. 4 lbs isn't even what I'd consider a donkey...

Haven't used them yet, but seem like they will be perfect for kayak bass fishing tournaments.
