Taking what it has learned with the St. Croix Avid Series, the Avid Panfish Spinning Rod incorporates proprietary technologies and materials for smoother actions, increased strength, and greater sensitivity than you may find in any other bluegill and crappie rod.
Fast actions are a hallmark of the Avid Series Panfish Rod, built using one and two-piece designs on a lightweight SCIII+ carbon fiber blank that is sensitive and durable. Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART) improves hoop strength. According to St. Croix, it prevents deformities in the rod blank, and a Fortified Resin System (FRS) curing process proves 33% stronger than rods not made with this technique. The rod maker also uses a Taper Enhancement Technology (TET) that goes toward blanks with better actions and improved sensitivity.
