Great Rod Case

Love these cases except too narrow to properly accommodate my Penn Torque 8 ft 2-piece surf spinning rod
Fits like a glove!

Perfectly fits my 10'6 Amundson mooching rod. Case is sleek, durable, and easy to use. Good insurance for a prized rod.
Great For Airplane Travel
by Dave from NJ -
I use these cases for airline travel. Keeps rods safe and secure. Small enough to fit in the overhead compartment, but would be absolutely comfortable checking them in as well. The shell is very hard and stable, will not bend or twist.
Good rod case
by Chrome hunter -
Best case to keep your st.croix rods in. I have one for every rod. Best part is they don't really roll like round cases. I wish they had a label on the side to write what rod you have stored in it.
Good case. A bit tight for spinning rod/casting rod combo
by BurnettGunner -
All around a good purchase. Not as clumsy as a bazooka case. Rods do not move around and are well protected once they are in the case. Care must be taken not to bend rod guides or poles when inserting them in case.

I use these to transport my surf / kayak rods in the car. Prevents mishaps with doors and so on. Yes, spinning rod guides are a tight fit, but that is kind of the right idea.
St. Croix RC74 Rod Case
by 7p62mm -
I bought a RC74 one piece rod case for my 5' 7" spinning rod. While it is a little longer than required it works great. I am using it for a single rod so space is not an issue. It would be somewhat of a tight fit for two rods. I like the oval shape as it does not slide around as much as a round tube. It looks way better than the white PVC tube that I was using previously not that that is all that important.
I came across a problem where to feet my expensive and fragile rods, so i won't break it's tips again. This holder is perfect, you can put two rods in. only one thing i wish because i have lots of similar tubes - some kind exchangeable tag. So i can write what rod/rods inside tube.
St. Croix Traveler Rod Case Model: RC36
by songman -
I ordered this with an extra rod and was delighted to find out that both rods fit in the case! This case is very well made and looks nice as well. You won't be disappointed.
by ELRDVM -
Bought 2 cases based on Q&A that the St. Croix 6' 6" travel rods would fit the 20" case. They just barely fit! Almost returned them but 30" was the next available size. Wish the case was an inch or two longer so they weren't quite so crammed. Then the 6' and 6'6" rods would both fit well.

the best value for the money, will buy at least one more, fits two rods, nice design, looks sharp, turns heads, took it all the way to the amazon, the only improvement would be the shoulder strap!
I would buy this product again .

St Croix Traveler Rod case (RC29)
by Happy Fisherman -
I ordered the RC29 for my 8.5' 4-piece spinning rod. There are folds within the tube to secure the pieces and prevent them from rattling around during transport. Great product.

Great Rod Case For The Money
by Devil Dog at Sea -
Used it for a three thousand mile road fishing trip and was pleased that it kept the rods protected.

great rod case but it be better if it has just a little more room about an inch or so
Protection for Float Rod
by Seanahee -
Had a very difficult time finding a case that would protect my Raven float rod. Standard fly tubes are too small to accomodate high-frame guides. This St. Croix case was perfect solution! Available in a wide range of sizes to exactly fit my 13' 6" three-piece! Glad I found it!
Very Good Rod Case
by Roy Hobbs -
This is a great rod case for at home storage and travel. Some 9' 4 piece rods have butt sections longer than 30"/31". Most rod cases only accept 30" pieces. This is one of the few rod cases that will accept a 32"+ butt section. The oblong shape is a nice touch, as the case will not roll when laid down. The shape does not complicate inactive storage.
very good product

very good quality

Bought this for travelling (flying) and needed something to protect my 10-6' steelhead rods, perfect choice.
Strong and intelligent design
by salmon whisperer -
Most other rod cases have a round cross section. The St. Croix traveler cases have an elongated oval cross section that fits the shape of spinning rods well, but this oval shape prevents the case from rolling around. The clasp on the top also is low profile and doesn't hang up on your other gear. The case is strong enough that you can stand on it without crushing the case.
I like it so well I ordered one for my son
Exactly what it's supposed to be...
I bought this case for a 6'6" 2-pc light action St Croix spinning rod and it fit perfectly. It looks great, was light enough to carry through the airport without any troubles, easy to use (no separate rod sock required) and most importantly it protected the rod.
