I have about 30 rods, mostly St.Croix. I fish for walleye and smallmouth mostly, muskie and have a couple salmon series for Alaska, for the money St. Croix are the best rods for me, paired with Pfluger and Abu Garcia reels. I only buy the rods made in the USA as some are made in Mexico now.
Best trout rod - hands down

5'6" 2 piece UL Fast. Hands down best trout rod I have especially for walking the streams when precision casting light spinners and light baits is a must. This is hands down the best. It is like an extension of you. Have other rods, they are all secondaries now. After you use this its hard to use anything else.

Have two MLF2's that I bought for jigging for walleyes. Great rods. Great sensitivity for that light bite. I tend to get a fair amount of northerns when jigging as well & they've always handled them just fine as well. Also use them in bigger trout streams & they do great there too.
