    I've been using Triton Down Rigger rods my entire 35 years of fishing from king salmon in lake Ontario to landlocked salmon and Lakers on Sebago. I've owned dozens of these rods and only had one fail (on a probable record king I never landed). They are limp enough to REALLY load up on the down riggers yet have a heavy backbone for those wall hangers. Even on smaller brook trout they are great due to the very limber tip section. Lately I've been using them to run two 3 color lead core rods with a braided backer, two jigging rods, four down rigger rods, and also two 10 color lead core setups for deep water when I don't want to run the down riggers. 8'6" medium and medium light rods. A++++++++++
