power house of back bone
she can put a stop to them kings when you need to I don't have one but I used my friend 13ft 2 peace. And I cot some fish on it to it can handle a raven 20g float and a 25lb king any day if you know how to work it Don't pull back so the rod is all the way behind you I snapped my im8 doing that.
Best rod you can buy
Best rod money can buy, plenty of backbone and can turn heads with ease. Runs 4 pound line like a champ and it will put fish on the bank
Raven RPX is perfect for any Great Lakes setting.
First off, the amazing craftsmanship of the custom reel seat allows you to easily change between any centerpin or even spinning reel at your choice. Recoil guides allow the angler to fish longer in colder conditions without worrying about ice build up that affect your drift and its natural presentation. Power of the RPX is unmatched by any float rod on the market. Fishing all over the great lakes from using 20lb main line and 15lb leaders for chinook salmon to elegant set ups using 10lb main line and 6lb leaders for steelhead, the Raven RPX has never let me down. The 11'6'' RPX is perfect for fighting fish in smaller streams and river that have debris and cover. The 13'6'' RPX is perfect for fighting big fish in big water. With the Raven RPX, you do not sacrifice power with added length.
Raven RPX Float Rod

I purchased this rod with the Raven XL Fully Ported 5 1/4 inch reel for center pin float fishing. The rod is very nicely made, but for this price you can acquire a Rain Shadow custom rod. The eye guides on the top ice very easily and because of this twist when casting or reeling in a fish. The eye guides need to be either snake eyes or much stronger to support cold river Steelhead fishing. Fished this rod for 5 days in weather 18-25 degrees and I already see twists in the guides which has me concerned about breaking off. If you acquire this rod - put it in a tube for protecting the eye guides. Don't travel in the tube sock you will still have issues in my opinion. Overall I do like how strong the rod how it handles bringing in fish, but I am concerned how quickly I would have to send this back for repair due to eye guides.
