Product Details

Raven Premium Balsa Floats are now available for virtually any river condition and depth, thanks to the Raven float system. Sporting a high visibility red tip and a low visibility black body, these balsa floats feature a high strength one-piece, fiberglass stem. Most floats take 3/32-inch silicone tubing on the top and 1/16-inch tubing on the bottom, allowing anglers to quickly change float size or model, without having to cut and re-tie. Raven Balsa Floats are specifically designed for salmon and steelhead fishing.

Please note: Silicone tubing is not included.

Please note: The "weight" is not the weight of the float itself, but rather the amount of weight in grams that the float will support.

I recently used the 2.2 model to fly fish for steelhead and it made strike detection very easy.

    What?

Rubber tubing is not included? How ridiculous. Do you know how hard it is to find 1/16th" and 3/32"nd's? Come "Raven" add .10 to the bobber and make your customers happy.

These are the best floats Ive ever used. They dont crack and take on water like the plastic floats, they ride high, and are very visible. If I dont get snagged and break my line above the float, the same float lasts for weeks or months. Some people complain about the tubing needed to keep them in place. Just order 5 or 10 feet of 3/32 and 1/16 silicone tubing from a medical supplier or hardware store. Its cheaper that way and will last a very long time. Or if you really want, you can use the 1/16 for both the top and bottom of the float.
