Product Details

Dial in your float setup for salmon and steelhead across shallow runs, tailouts, deep slots, and changing current speeds with Raven Premium Balsa Floats. These balsa floats work within the Raven float system, giving river anglers a practical way to match float size and buoyancy to nearly any river condition and depth while keeping rig changes fast on the bank. A high-visibility red tip helps track the float at distance, and the low-visibility black body keeps the presentation more subtle in clear water and pressured drifts. Each float uses a high-strength one-piece fiberglass stem, and most models accept 3/32 in. silicone tubing on top with 1/16 in. tubing on the bottom so you can swap sizes or models without cutting and retying. Keep in mind that the listed weight refers to the amount of shot or rig weight the float supports in grams, not the physical weight of the float itself, and silicone tubing is not included.

  • Part of the Raven float system for covering a wide range of river conditions and depths
  • High-visibility red tip and low-visibility black body help with tracking and presentation control
  • High-strength one-piece fiberglass stem adds durability for salmon and steelhead float fishing
  • Most models use 3/32 in. top tubing and 1/16 in. bottom tubing for quick float changes without retying

I recently used the 2.2 model to fly fish for steelhead and it made strike detection very easy.

Just about every float angler I know starts with Raven floats. They are reasonably durable, easy to see, and easy to match to your fishing conditions. Best of all they are cheap. Custom floats are nice, but I dont think they are much better for most situations.

    What?

Rubber tubing is not included? How ridiculous. Do you know how hard it is to find 1/16th" and 3/32"nd's? Come "Raven" add .10 to the bobber and make your customers happy.
