    Can't say enough about the President reel. I bought the reel to replace the Cabelas rod and President reel I bought years ago. Spooled it up with 8lb flurocarbon and it performed as well as the older President reel. The only draw back I've seen is there is no anti-reverse. I do like that option so I can unwind the lure to the hook keeper or lay it flat in the car so it not sitting on the guide wire. Overall I like the reel and would buy again. The older ones just seemed to be nicer.

    I bought this reel (30X) as a replacement for a combo that I purchased years ago. This reel is a newer model with absolutely no use on it and the older model was smoother. This reel is just ok and I am slightly disappointed. I guess you need to jump up in price to get a decent reel.

    I've got this reel rigged for bass using braided line. No issues whatsoever. I am extremely happy with this reel. Smoothe casting and retrieval. I love it.
