I switched from monofilament line to the florline. I filled my spinning reel with all this line and eliminated the task of tying leaders on. What a difference. I started getting more hits and this line is super strong that I haven't had a break yet while fighting those mighty steelhead fish.

I am an UL purist, and am very picky about my line because I need the line to grant me maximum strength. There are two brands/makes of line I use, and two only. This PLine Floroclear is the 2nd best line on the market for the type of fishing I do. #2 and #3 has landed me plenty of fish over the rated strength of the line, and I have never broke off a fish. I have broke the line, but only on snags and hang-ups (which can be expected with light line). When I first was introduced to this line I was a bit skeptical, because I am a mono guy plain and simple. I was told Floroclear is the best of both worlds. I bought a spool of #3. Practicing the strength of the line at home before spooling up, I noticed that the floro coating is a bit slick, and a clinch knot may not hold tight. I have been using a 7 wrap Uni(slip) exclusively and been satisfied. Hands down this is the best floro alternative on the market. (The only other line I will spool on a reel is Maxima Ultragreen #3.)

I bought this in the 12# and 15# to make leaders for Brown Trout trolling. So far in a few outings ive had 2 break offs (on loose drags). And after each trip, every leader out of 6 rods needs to be changed out because of the knicks/chaffing the line has absorbed. It is junk!
