Worden's Original Rooster Tail
Worden's Original Rooster Tails were developed in the 1950's by Howard Worden as one of the most productive lures ever invented. The action of the spinning blade in combination with the colorful, pulsating hackle tail makes the Rooster Tail irresistible to any gamefish. It's a lure that consistently catches fish. Original Rooster Tails are available in a large variety of colors and sizes so you are sure to find one just right for any fishing situation.

Great Trout lure

One of the best trout lures there is. For a smallish lure it has good weight so you get good casting distance and the blade spins well at different speeds. Also good for freshwater perch species too.

by Kevin -
I use brown or black 1/8 oz. with gold blade for trout fishing in medium size streams in east Tennessee. These east TN. trout love to try to eat them and that helps me because I love to eat trout.

I catch fish every time I use it. Gold/Brown and such work fantastic around here. I shouldn't have told you, but who says honesty and the internet can't be friends? They're inexpensive and come in several sizes and patterns making them a must for any level angler. I swear by them. Find your pattern and buy a few different sizes to see what you can coax from the depths.

This has been one of my go to lures for many years. Never let's me down. If one doesn't work try another color or size. Most recent purchase caught a nice rainbow on first cast in a small stream.

Fish just love it

When you look at a Rooster Tail you wonder how in heck are fish attracted to this thing. Don't even think about it. Just tie one on and start using. I've been successful with largemouth and smallmouth bass, black perch, panfish, walleye, and especially trout. The rainbow and yellow color work best for me and I've used them in rivers, lakes and ponds. The perfect all around bait.
My go to for stream trout.

When I need trout for the smoker or the freezer a chartreuse (if the water is discolored) or grey (if the water is clear)1/16-1/8 oz. roostertail is my weapon of choice. The rest of the time I'm a fly fisherman.
The old standby

There is a reason Worden's Original Rooster Tails have been able to hang around so long. They consistently catch a variety of fish. They are relatively inexpensive compared to other lures, and a small variety of sizes and colors in your tackle box is a nice insurance policy for those times when other methods aren't producing.
POOR SERVICE FROM YAKIMA
by Ted -
I walk for hours going upstream on our small rivers the going is tough at times, forget waders just shots runners vest rod hat and polaroids One hour upstream equates 15 minutes return the best day was a few years back when a mate and I walked the Howqua River started at 6am and got back at 8pm, we saw 10lb trout, deer, paltypus wombats and snakes and yes we were completely stuffed ! But what a day !!
