          It is very well made and totally reliable. Absolutely fabulous reel. This is a great reel for any beginner, novice or expert and comes highly recommended. it puts itself in the middle of pack of not being too heavy nor on the lighter side of the fence. In terms of performance, what can I say, it's a work horse.

          Like other folks who have posted about this reel a lot of research went into the purchase of this reel before I bought it. I have not been disappointed at all! I now own multiple float fishing reels (some costing 3x - 4x more) and use the Sheffield as much (if not more) than the other reels. It is excellent and is a great reel for float fishers of any level proficiency.
