    This is a great rod at this price point. I purchased 2 of the 2 piece 7' light action rods. Good action, well built, and balances well. Used them for trout on large streams for better distance and hook sets. Worked great for this use and will be great for river fishing, trophy trout waters, and possibly even steelhead.

    I broke a Fenwick eagle 3yrs ago, I absolutely loved that Rod with the exception of the handle. While waiting for Fenwick to replace it, I grabbed an SST 5'6 ultra light. And have never gone back. I run a YouTube channel for ultralight trout fishing. Single Hook Hogs Fishing... I currently own 10 Okuma SST ultra lights and have them paired with multiple reels from a Shimano Stratic to a Mitchell 310 pro. They have more accurate casting than the $125 Fenwick Eagle. I currently have an SST that is 3 years old and has probably pulled in over 150 trout. Some of them weighing over 5 lb. I actually broke the tip off last week. My Fault. I continued to fish the rod. It's still cast with high precision and I was able to pull in two trout, one of which was 16 in long and weighed about a pound and a half. As long as they are on the market, I will never fish another ultralight rod besides the Okuma SST!!!
