    I have the 5'6" UL version of this rod and after getting to try it out this past weekend. I am very pleased with the rod. It is sensitive but has good backbone when setting the hook. My other rod is a Celilo which is a good rod, but this one definitely feels even better. I can't imagine that you go wrong on this rod.

    I actually was convinced to purchase an SST instead of the Okuma Celilo (despite the Celilo being a legendary UL rod) from youtubers like Jordan from Addicted Fishing, Fish Anything with Mule Fishing, and Single Hook Hogs youtube channels! Also, after having serious conversations with WELL-KNOWN fishermen here in the Pacific Northwest... the Okuma SST is a name I've heard over and over! Well as it turns out, they were right! The SST is an amazing longer ( and shorter I'm sure... I prefer 7'+ UL) UL rod... AS LONG AS YOU'RE NOT TRYING TO HUNT MASSIVE KINGS AND STEELHEAD OF COURSE... The Light-Medium powered rods are better for those applications... however, the SST makes an incredible UL rod! Trout, panfish, baitfish,... Okuma has done it again! Oh, and this is one of the UL rods that helped me and my wife to start our fishing journey, among several other OKUMA products and it still hasn't let us down!! 5 Salmon Tail Shakes From Me!!

    I got the 6-foot rod to pair with my Okuma Ceymar, and I must say I am impressed with the quality of this product. It makes fishing a pleasure, allowing me to cast far and accurately. I have other rods that are more expensive, but this one is just as good, if not better. FishUSA was prompt in shipping my items.
