    Great value with premium...

    Took it out this week and it did great. The only con is the arbor needs to be deeper. I only had 50 ft of backing and the line was 90 ft of 6wf. Yes I recommend. Just keep your backing short.

    Have not used the reel yet. Still on my way to Michigan. Have two smaller Okuma Fly Reels. Nice variable drags. Like them very much. I'm sure this one is as bullet proof as the other two.

    For most of us with a budget, I couldn't recommend a better fly reel! I have 4 of these reels, a 4/5 for trout, a 7/8 for steelhead, a 8/9 for salmon, and a 10/11 for a steelhead switch rod. I have other reels that are good and more expensive, but never hesitate to grab a rod with an Okuma reel. The drag has never failed me, especially on fish that are actually ripping line. I'm a huge fan of Okuma spinning reels as well
