This spinning rod is constructed of a 24-ton and moderate-tapered carbon blank that is extremely lightweight and responsive. For improved balance, it utilizes tip-over-butt ferrule connection. Its Sea Guide stainless steel guides with Zirconium inserts stand up to all challenges and minimizes line abrasions. Outfitted with a tapered shrink tube grip, you can expect a non-slip surface on wet days. The Rockaway Surf Spinning Rod is light enough for surf anglers to cast all day.

    I haven’t used them yet but am pleased so far. I wanted a surf rod with a lighter action that would allow me to cast shrimp without them coming off. That seems ideal on this rod. I was also pleased that these rods came with SS hook keepers, something I had to add to my old rods.
