This spinning rod is constructed of a 24-ton and moderate-tapered carbon blank that is extremely lightweight and responsive. For improved balance, it utilizes tip-over-butt ferrule connection. Its Sea Guide stainless steel guides with Zirconium inserts stand up to all challenges and minimizes line abrasions. Outfitted with a tapered shrink tube grip, you can expect a non-slip surface on wet days. The Rockaway Surf Spinning Rod is light enough for surf anglers to cast all day.

    Great rod for the price. At first, seems a bit of a noodle, but it can hold it's own casting up to about 1.5oz then you have to be careful. It can even handle the low end of the range fine too so long as the wind's at your back. Even though I gained 3oz from my current inshore setup, I didn't feel it during an 8 hour fishing trip. It a couple feet longer so there's that, but no more of a hassle to fish with otherwise. Great rod for at a great price.
