The Okuma RAW-II 1002 Centerpin Float Reel features precision 6061-T6 machined aluminum construction combined with Okuma's CRC corrosion-resistant coating process, creating a reel that will perform and look good for many seasons. The Okuma centerpin reel is outfitted with two premium Japanese stainless steel ball bearings for incredibly smooth operation with very little friction resistance. The bearings ride on a machine-cut stainless steel spool shaft for strength and durability. 

The RAW-II 1002 Centerpin Float Reel has a fully ported design to lighten its overall weight. The durable, type-II, two-tone anodized spool and frame in Gunmetal/Orange give this reel a modern look. The 4.5-in. spool diameter makes this Okuma float reel great for targeting most trout, salmon, and steelhead species.

    This reel is completely dependent on the operators skill. It can land tiny smelt and monster steel head. I caught my personal best buck on it this past week, 15.7lbs, 33.8 inches, 17 inch girth. This reel handled the job like it was designed too. Flawless handling, smooth transitions allowing me to let this monster dive when it wanted, while letting me clench to keep him out of the log jams and snags. Landed this fish on a 8lbs fluorocarbon leader, any hiccup in this system and that fish would have mangled my setup. Okuma didn't let me down, this reel is an amazing center pin.

    Managed to get out and use this baby. Works plenty good. Used it on the Yough River in fast to slow moving water and was very pleased. Managed three trout with no trouble. You can cover a lot of water with reel. I would imagine the more costly reels may work better. For the money a good buy.

    I purchased this reel as my first centerpin this past fall, and I have not been disappointed. I looked at many different reels, but since many of my friends has the aventa I was looking for something a little different. Not only is this reel silky smooth, but it looks sweet as well. The orange and silver are real sharp looking, but once you hook up with a fish those good looks step aside to a smooth reel that gets the job done. The reel pays out line smoothly on the drift, even in freezing temps. I paired this with the Shimano Clarus rod and have found a winning combo.
