Okuma Classic Pro GLT Trolling Rods are fine-tuned for the Great Lake's trolling angler. These rods feature durable construction and actions tailored specifically for use with downriggers, Dipsy Diver-type diving disks, and copper and leadcore sinking lines. All Classic Pro GLT Trolling Rods feature fiberglass blank construction, uplocking Fuji-style reel seats with stainless steel hoods, and heavy-duty, double foot stainless steel guides. The EVA grips provide comfort for long days on the water. The butt section of the grips features a rubberized, shrink tube overlay which provides additional gripping power for wet hands and makes them easier to remove from a rod holder.

    I fish the Great Lakes for a living and own several Okuma Classic Pro GLT rods. For downrigging, I like the medium light action, because you can really load it up and yet it has enough backbone to handle any fish that swims. You will enjoy fishing with this rod, because it is light, sensitive and it doesn't feel like you are fishing with a telephone pole. It makes fishing a lot more fun, because you feel the fish fight more. A great fishing rod for the price that will last many years.

    I bought one of these to replace a broken rod and liked it so much I ended replacing all my rods with them. The triangular grip feels great, the silicon wrap on the bottom handle lets me pull the rod out of the holder even when it's loaded with a big fish. It takes a great bend when running with tension on the downrigger but still has enough power to handle big kings. My wife is gonna kill me but I'm probably going to get a few more.

    10'6 Diver Rods

    Excellent, gets your diver as far away from your riggers as possible. Or if you run 4 divers these are good rods for separation between high and low divers. Just add a twilli tip if you use wire.
