Okuma Classic Pro GLT Trolling Rods are fine-tuned for the Great Lake's trolling angler. These rods feature durable construction and actions tailored specifically for use with downriggers, Dipsy Diver-type diving disks, and copper and leadcore sinking lines. All Classic Pro GLT Trolling Rods feature fiberglass blank construction, uplocking Fuji-style reel seats with stainless steel hoods, and heavy-duty, double foot stainless steel guides. The EVA grips provide comfort for long days on the water. The butt section of the grips features a rubberized, shrink tube overlay which provides additional gripping power for wet hands and makes them easier to remove from a rod holder.

    Got the 7 foot downrigger rod it's a nice looking rod however it feels more like lite than medium and it snapped on me second trip out.

    I order 5 of these. Unfortunately 1 of them arrived broken. I emailed fishusa a few pictures and within an hour they had a new rod on the way. Overall great experience and I will be a return customer!

    This rod is a great value. I needed a second rod/reel to fish on my boat when I host family members or friends who may not have gear specific for downrigger salmon fishing. This is an affordable option that came recommended from a review of a local here in Washington who wrote a downrigger rod review of various price points. The point he makes is its not expensive to manufacture a fiberglass rod so don't need to spend alot to get a quality unit. Fiberglass or fiberglass blend is ideal for downriggers. Solid purchase im sure will fish great on the boat. The holographic logo on the rod is a plus for looks.
