Okuma Classic Pro GLT Trolling Rods are fine-tuned for the Great Lake's trolling angler. These rods feature durable construction and actions tailored specifically for use with downriggers, Dipsy Diver-type diving disks, and copper and leadcore sinking lines. All Classic Pro GLT Trolling Rods feature fiberglass blank construction, uplocking Fuji-style reel seats with stainless steel hoods, and heavy-duty, double foot stainless steel guides. The EVA grips provide comfort for long days on the water. The butt section of the grips features a rubberized, shrink tube overlay which provides additional gripping power for wet hands and makes them easier to remove from a rod holder.

    The 8'6" rods are perfect for trolling in-line planer boards for salmon. They have enough backbone to fight big fish and they pull planer boards with ease when using heavy lines like Copper and Leadcore. Plus the line guides have lg diameter holes so the knots will make it through without hanging up. I'm very pleased with these rods for Great Lakes Salmon fishing.

    You can't beat the rod for the price. It has a very nice backbone and great tip action. The rod is a little on the heavy side. It also has many line guides to keep the line off the rod.
